looking for others thoughts about holding a team exercise to identify leading indicator

Would an identifying leading indicator exercise be a good tool to conduct with a group of Line Supervisors and Safety Team Members?

Yes, and I would also include a training exercise for hourly employees. Depending on only supervisors to report leading indicators will slow the process; and put fear in the minds and hearts of hourly employees. The hourly employees should feel ownership of the process. They need to be involved.

Robert, it's an excellent idea. I believe you would be surprised to learn you may already have them, you are just not measuring them in a way that allows you to understand the data to change the management system. They may also be associated in another part of the work system. I've attached an article to explain my point.
